    Contactor is an electrical appliance used to automatically connect or disconnect high current circuits. It can frequently connect or disconnect AC circuits and realize remote control. Its main control object is the motor, which can also be used for other loads. It has the characteristics of large control capacity, strong overload capacity, long service life, simple and economical equipment, so it is widely used in electrical control.
    The contactor uses the main contact to open and close the circuit and the auxiliary contact to execute the control command. The main contact generally has only normally open contact, while the auxiliary contact often has two pairs of contacts with normally open and normally closed functions. Small contactors are often used as intermediate relays to cooperate with the main circuit. The contact of the contactor is made of silver tungsten alloy, which has good conductivity and high temperature ablation resistance.
    The action power of the contactor comes from the AC electromagnet. The electromagnet is stacked by two "mountain" shaped young silicon steel sheets, one of which is fixed and covered with a coil.     Contactors above 20 amps are equipped with arc extinguishing cover, which can quickly pull off the arc by using the electromagnetic force generated when disconnecting the circuit to protect the contact. The contactor is made as a whole, and its shape and performance are also improving, but its function remains unchanged.     The main contact of the contactor is closed manually or electrically. After the main contact is closed, the free tripping mechanism locks the main contact in the closing position. The coil of the overcurrent release and the thermal element of the thermal release are connected in series with the main circuit, and the coil of the undervoltage release is connected in parallel with the power supply.
    In case of short circuit or serious overload of the circuit, the armature of the overcurrent release is pulled in to make the free tripping mechanism act, and the main contact disconnects the main circuit. When the circuit is overloaded, the thermal element of the thermal release generates heat, bends the bimetallic sheet, pushes the free release mechanism to act, and the main contact disconnects the main circuit.
    When the circuit is under voltage, the armature of the under voltage release releases, which also makes the free release mechanism act, and the main contact disconnects the main circuit. When the shunt release button is pressed, the armature of the shunt release is pulled in to make the free release mechanism act, and the main contact disconnects the main circuit.
